LAS VEGAS — The latest Strip hot-spot, T&T (Tacos & Tequila), ignites guests’ taste buds with a bold and flavorful menu designed by consulting chef Richard Sandoval and managed by Executive Chef Saul Ortiz.
The restaurant boasts a flavorful Mexican menu complete with appetizers such as quesadillas, tostadas, ceviches, soups and salads as well as traditional entrees including enchiladas, burritos and tacos. Guests can start off by indulging in fresh guacamole spiced to their liking ($9) nachos with a chipotle-cheese sauce and all the fixings ($11) or traditional queso fundido ($12). T&T also offers small quesadillas filled with a choice of adobo shrimp ($12); marinated beef ($12); or mushroom-huitlacoché ($11).
Chef Ortiz kicks it up a notch with zesty enchiladas and burritos, featuring distinctive flavor combinations such as the beef barbacoa enchiladas with a roasted tomato-guajillo sauce ($16) or the chicken enchiladas divorciadas, smothered in two kinds of sauces and paired with refried black beans, rice and shredded lettuce ($15). Burrito lovers have a choice of the chicken ($14) or beef burrito ($16), both served with black beans and rice. The restaurant also offers flame grilled traditional entrees like classic carne asada ($22), carnitas ($17), pork spare ribs ($17) and fajitas with a choice of tender chicken, skirt steak or shrimp ($15-$17). Chef Sandoval’s menu includes an extensive taco selection, with 13 different taco creations, including fiery favorites such as the chicken ($12) and baja tacos ($13) as well as tantalizing gourmet selections including the Kobe beef ($25) and lobster tacos ($23).
T&T’s tangy cuisine is best served with a lip-smacking cocktail such as the specialty Pineapple Chipotle margarita with a dash of Tabasco ($12), Carly’s Trap made with Milagro Reposado Tequila, fresh cucumber, watermelon and lemon ($12) or the Monty Mojito featuring 12-year-aged rum ($12). With an extensive list of more than 70 tequilas, guests can concoct their own margarita or take the advice of the restaurant’s signature Tequila Temptresses Bridgette and Carly, who roam the dining area with a tequila cart suggesting flavor-enhancing pairings. The restaurant also features a selection of sangria, wine and champagne.
